LC MEETING FOR JUNE 23RD
HEY AIESEC!! HOW ARE
WE FEELING??
So the last LC meeting was quite dull and scanty compared to
the last few weeks, mainly due to people going home for the festivities. But as
it is my duty to give a break down of every meeting whether interesting or not,
I am here again so lets do this…
Meeting kicked off later than usual with Salim Tarfa leading
us through plenary.

Funny how most people said they did nothing for AIESEC in
the past week.
Then came the session for the day and up came the delectable Simi
Keye and Abdullah to talk about work
ethics.
Simi et Abdullah |
Looking like they were here to co host an award show, Simi and Abdullah
took us through the standard behaviors expected in am office environment, benefits
of working in groups, how to relate with co workers/employees, things to do and
not to do at our places of work etc. All in all great and enlightening session
although a lot of people weren’t really paying attention.
Then we had Mojo take us through ice breaker. But not before
certain people had been punished for missing answers to questions from the
session. Ice breaker was the normal neighbor massage.
Then we had Hassan take
us through a few announcements: The AIESEC Lagos Merchandise would be out soon.
To get a shirt all you need is 2500 naira, and if you want a wristband and
sticker along with the shirt all you need is 3000 naira. Also recruitment is
still ongoing till the 29th of June. Numbers have increased but they
can be better. Also National Conference is coming really soon and guess what?! It
holds right here in Lagos !!!(gidi
baby). But unfortunately this conference is only open to TLs, MLMs, VPs, and
the LCP. To the TMs we are very sorry but this is strictly from the MC. And to
the rest of you need I say more??....see you there.
Just before it was time to go Mojo came up to talk about
Y4GG (Youth 4 Global Goals). But first we had the ‘equality’ game where he performed
some activities with us(virtual sharing of sweets and money unequally) and
taking our responses on how we felt. Also how we felt about inequality when we
were on the good side of it and when we were on the bad part, and the fact that
fairness isn’t always equality. He also talked about publicity for Y4GG and
GGMC and with that meeting came to a close for NC volunteers to have their
interview.

In the spirit of the season, its only right we wish our
muslim brothers and sisters a happy Eid Mubarak. To the ones who faithfully
read this blog week in week out and to the ones who toil day and night to make
the LC what it is today we say may the joy and blessings of the Ramadan be made
manifest in your lives.
Not the usual type of post today guys but as it is with life
we all have our not so good days, days where we just kind of fall short of the
expected. It is what it is. But the question is how do you react to the ‘not so
good’ days? How do you bounce back?
You want to know how I react to this? Check back in next
week!.
God bless.
Mila.
