LC MEETING FOR FEBRUARY 17th
LIT!!!
Thats the word that describes the last LC meeting/hangout.
Yes it was lit!
If you missed the Friday of loooove, I feel bad on your behalf. I’ll try to capture how amazing it was with words but I’m sure I’ll fall short.
The meeting started by 3:30 with Mojola as the Master of Ceremony. As usual, we had introductions and caught up on how everyone’s week went. A lot of people sure had stressful weeks.
Then we went on to the serious stuff on the agenda. We met our new Staff adviser, Dr Mrs Ekwaba. She was very nice and has definitely got out backs. In her address she said:
"Wherever you need me, I’ll be. Whatever you need to need me to do, I’ll do. You can always call on me."
This was definitely heart warming!
Mojola went on to punish people who weren’t paying attention during introductions. It was balloon popping time! Hilarious stuff really! (Unfortunately, I was victim too)
Next up, Hassan introduced the OC team for FA SUMMIT and the MLMs. Apparently, MLM interviews took about 5 to 6 hours, there were 23 applications and about 10 MLMs. There are still a couple of empty slots. Keep your ears open as another round of applications would be opened shortly in case you’re still interested.
With all the serious business out of the way, it was now time for the main agenda for the day. The actual hangout!
To increase the interaction amongst everyone, we played mingle mingle mingle.
I did not believe it was possible to pass an orange with the neck until this meeting. AIESECers are skilled in the art really.
The next game was answering a series of questions that helped people find other people who to an extent reasoned like them. This was done to promote team bonding as well as to foster an understanding of each other whilst learning from each others experiences.
When the match was made. The different teams played two truths and a lie and the sweet tooth/talk game. This was so much fun!!
Then it was time to acknowledge the best couple as everyone was told to come with a partner. Only a few people actually did this. The best couple for the day was Ugo and Patience. Big ups to them!
The hangout officially then came to an end. However, what is an AIESEC hangout without roll call. People waited behind to dance roll calls which is always so much fun.
By the way, all this took place in our very own space in the faculty of business administration given to us by our amazing new staff adviser. Yes, great news really!
I know you’re currently regretting you didn’t come. haha dont worry next week is another opportunity.
So guys its a wrap for this week, to those who m the meeting last friday i hope i have been able to relive some of the fun experiences you had while to those who didnt make it well....i hope i have been able to paint pictures(both figuratively and literally). But all in all some things cant be totally expressed with words or pictures, you just have to experience them. Like a friend of mine once said AIESEC meetings are an avenue for bringing together awesome change makers one roll call at a time!. I leave you guys with this. Have a great week guys. See you next week.
Yours truly,
