LC MEETING 7TH AUGUST 2015

HEY AIESEC!!!

This week’s LC meeting has been off the charts, the full pizza! I really hope you were able to get a slice but if not do not fret, because the gist is still hot! There was a lot of informative and inspiring action that went down on the 7th of August 2015.
Diving right into the LC meeting, today’s M.C is none other than AIESECer Idy! AIESEC just tickled the charisma out of him, he did an awesome job of exploring his potentials and he led the stage with a plum. Everyone got their respective turns sharing the feelings about their week, from stories of G.P arrivals to hostel entertainment news and some unpleasant ones about robberies that went on during the past week. It is important that as AIESECers we should inspire the world around us and continue to show important AIESEC values that radiate to our surroundings.
Talking about radiating some AIESEC spirit, we had our VP MAC in person of Yomi Adenekan blow our minds away with an insight and thought provoking session on digital marketing. He explained various points on how we can use the internet to its potential, understanding our fan base, and technicalities also including marketing techniques that inspire our pages and websites gain audiences. Monetization of web platforms, pay per click, and pay per view, the whole lot. Understanding the near limitless opportunities that await us when we have the vision to know more and apply all that knowledge to our lives.
AIESECer Mudijah wowed us on some fear therapy, where everyone wrote down their fears in paper and placed them in a cap only to pick them ballot style. She explained why understanding the fears of others give us more understanding on understanding how to help others and be a source of strength for those who are having a tough time facing their fears.
Then we delved into the world of change management, championed by no other than AIESECer Adetomiwa who dazzled us with an enjoyable and engaging presentation coupled with fun exercises. Change can be difficult but its worth it when in the right direction. Check out ourAIESECer Nonye 2.0!!!!
The big gist today though is the arrival of the first ever interns to our very own AIESEC Lagos!!! Drumrolls!!! We had our special guests from Kenya in the house. The ever smiling Susan down in on Project Care, Mr cool Morris Muki helping out with AIESEC’s Eden Project, and the lovely Maggie who is working with AIESEC’s Project Care in Modupe Cole orphanage.
The turn up party went down after the meeting ended…the pictures tell the story.
