LC Meeting 14th August 2015
It really all boiled down to 3pm on a Friday afternoon. We would laugh, joke, learn, scope amongst other things. It was the AIESEC meeting. Last week's meeting definitely did not fail to live up to expectations. With Okwy spearheading the program, it is definitely one that will not be erased so quickly from my memory. As is customary, the meeting commenced with inquiries into the week of the members and Idy decided to give us a very vivid insight into his week which was mostly hungry. Without wasting too much time, we broke into our functional areas p.s: I'm in the best functional area ever. The guys in BD learnt proposal writing and we in MAC learnt how to create a newsletter and magazine article. Apparently, if you want to write a magazine, you have to take a mugshot, not cool. During FA meeting, I spotted a lot of cute guys I got to talk to afterwards, #justsaying. As an icebreaker after the breakout session, we played a game where we had to state 2 truths and 1 lie, then the audience had to guess the lie. Shocking but not too shocking, Yomi is a virgin. I do not know why he decided to share that particular fact, but since we are about fulfilling humankind's potential, I'm sure an AIESEC'er would be kind enough to do something about that. A representative of walk for smart kids then came to address us on the upcoming "short" walk from Maryland to the National Stadium. The walk comes up soon, and you can support with anything you have. We eventually had the opportunity to meet our Benin Republic intern that we had heard so much about; she was worth the talk....The very vibrant Sade, here for the X-fashion project. The rebirth of the AIESEC bridge was announced and the meeting was adjourned.
