AIESECer OF THE WEEK
HEY AIESEC!! So as you all know we had our first AIESECer of the week challenge on twitter last week *drumrolls*. So we decided to catch up with the winner and this was how it went down....
I: Tell us about yourself?
Hassan: I’m Hassan Nurudeen, from Ibadan South West. I’m the only child of my mother and she’s a widow. Urrrmm... I’m a go getter , spontaneous and I’m a balloon killer. I’m in 500 level Electrical electronics and I want to graduate this year. Not forgetting that I am LCP of one of the greatest AIESEC entities in the world: AIESEC Lagos
I: Awesome!!...by the way you said you want to or you’re going to?
Hassan: I’m going to. (Chuckles)
I: What’s your favourite thing about AIESEC?
Hassan: My favourite thing is the ability to test grounds, make mistakes and nobody to criticize me for those mistakes.
I: So that’s your favourite thing about AIESEC?
Hassan: Yes, because you don’t get to do that in the real world. You don’t do well, it's either your salary is deducted or you’re demoted.
I: I thought AIESEC is to prepare you for the real world?
Hassan: Yeah, that’s why you make mistakes and you don’t get to have a first trial in the real world.
I: What goals do you plan to achieve in AIESEC both long and short term goals?
Hassan: For short term goals, I want AIESEC LAGOS to be...., we might not be the leader at the end of my tenure but I want to start the race that in 5 years time, AIESEC LAGOS is the best LC in West Africa, in Long term goals, I see AIESEC LAGOS not being the best in Africa but the best in AIESEC GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL
I: Why do you think people voted for you as the AIESECER OF THE WEEK?
Hassan: I am still surprised, though some of my class mates voted for me because it was not restricted to only AIESECers to vote. But I was surprised I could scale through the 1st round.
I: What big role did you play this week?
Hassan: Partnership deals with my other EBs.
I: Out of all your executives, which one of them will you likely Kiss, kill or marry?
Hassan: To kill, errrm.... I will probably kill Debbie. Kiss (chuckles)..errrm, to kiss, who would I want to kiss? Maybe Wura , (blushing). Marry...I think Wura. For her efficiency.
I: If you were a superhero, what abilities would you like to possess?
Hassan: Reading Minds
I: Do you have a crush on any AIESECer in this LC?
Hassan: No
I: Thought Wura, because you want to marry her?
Hassan: I will marry Wura because she’s very efficient and does things the way I want it. But I have a lot of crushes. Dumebi is my crush anyways.
I: What’s your deepest darkest secret?
Hassan: Stays with me. That’s why it is called a secret.
I: What drives your as the LCP? I mean your zeal and passion to work harder
Hassan: For me, I think just the thought of a greater goal ahead, that pushes me to do more.
Interviewers: Dami and Dumebi
