Hey AIESEC!!!
How has our week been? I have the privilege to deliver NTS
2016 AIESEC Lagos output summary to you. I am very excited to tell you that NTS
2016 has happened!!! In spite of all challenges and hiccups AIESEC Nigeria
pulled through to deliver their best inspirational mental state; their highest
aspirations, goals and vision for the 2016.17 term to its delegates. I am not
here to say that it was just amazing and there weren’t setbacks to the original
plans. I’m not here to paint an all rosy affair; I’m here to depict an attitude
of giving it your all. I’m here to depict an entity who doesn’t lose morale in
sight of challenges. I’m here to depict awesome guys who were inventors through
improvising. I’m here to depict a “limitless generation stirred up for
greatness”. I’m here to demonstrate a culture of excellence and achievement: a culture
of AIESEC. I’m here to say that in spite of all setbacks, it was still very
cool. I can only imagine if all plans had been actualized.
NTS 2016 has a lot of memories and stories to tell. I want
you guys to know that I can’t narrate all day by day or vent by event. I’ll
just give a brief summary in next 500 words and from there on the narration
will be purely pictorial. I’ll just say a few points to be noted.
- First thing to note is our vision statement for
this term by the current MC; (If you remember last term’s own, text it to me,
first five people get 500-naira airtime ha-ha J
). This year, we are a “limitless generation stirred up for greatness”. This
means, this year we are go-getters. We are boundary-explorers/expanders. We are
limitless in our aims, goals, visions and thought
process. We are without fear; willing to risk it all. This mindset should drive
our actions this term
- The next is our product refreshed brand. The new
products we offer and the new value proposition for our customers. Simply put,
we have new names for GCDP, GIP and BD. We also have some extra features in
them. We also have new criteria, benefit (Value proposition for customers) and
definitions for them. This will be more discussed at the LTS. You can also find
info at the conference output (Link will be made available soon) and on the
AIESEC Hub
- Lastly, though it’s not as important, but it is
actually, I’ll like us to give it up for these amazing three guys (whoop whoop).
They didn’t know AIESEC from Adam, but packed their bags, got on a bus and had
an experience of a lifetime which we know, at AIESEC, we shall help them supersede
soon. Jalalah and Zainab who made it to the conference on the third night also
deserve some recognition as they though AIESEC worth the trouble. It was
amazing of you guys. OLuwadamilare Williams, Vivian Dike, and SamJoe Mbanefo, You
guys were awesome. You should clap for yourselves. AIESEC Lagos, I’d like us to
emulate these guys and trust in AIESEC
