Legislative Meeting 05th February 2016

HEY AIESEC!!!

It's the end of another awesome week. Yes I'm late I apologize. So I will just update you on the recent meeting. This time tho, its gonna be different while I'll comment a little, I'll be submitting the comments of a member of my team, which fairly I'm a bit impressed with.
First, I'll just go through what we had to do on friday briefly

First, we had a fun exercise called DJSAM
Then, the LM kicked off proper with Idono acting as the chair.
A few motions were deliberated upon.
Then, the LM was suspended and elections started for positions of Vice President Business Development & Incoming Global Internship Program (VP BD/IGIP), Vice President Marketing And Communications(VP MAC), Vice President Outgoing Global Global Internship Program (VP OGIP), Vice President Outgoing Global Community Development Program (VP OGCDP), Vice President Incoming Global Community Development Program (VP IGCDP), Vice President Talent Management (VP TM), Vice President Finance, Legal & Administration (VP FLA).
Manifestos were read, and voting started. Votes were counted, and results were announced.

Now, here are some of his comments on the events listed above. After which I'll give a brief pictorial narration of events.Bear in mind he was writing this at the event; hence his tone of writing and tense.

I arrived late but the program probably began around 3:10 and a fun exercise was going on. Something called DJSAM where; if I picked your D finger, then I tell you a dream of mine. We have S for secret, A stood for ask a question and M for a sweet massage… The exercise had most people on their feet and trying their hardest to crack jokes and ask personal questions.

The atmosphere is light, the average person here is speaking to a friend or something. Thank God, no Esther -__- . She should be a principal or something. Apparently, Idondo is the chair for today (not sure I spelled that correctly, forgive me). She looks too happy to be chair though. I’m trying to imagine her being strict, (hard to do!)

So, a motion has been passed to have those of us not corporately dressed to vote. Well, we can vote now J. Rachel is trying to sell us that she’s no longer LCP and just a floor member, I don’t buy it. I don’t think anybody does. Idono seems lost as the chair. LCPe Ugo has passed a motion to leave by 5:45. That was cool with everybody, except Rachel of course.

I’ve had enough of ‘chair of the house, AIESECer somebody on the floor of the house’. Welcome to AIESEC LM, where we have to wear tie but no AC. Where we have to sit for three hours, but no food.

Hassan has been unusually active, maybe it’s because he’s just gunning for a VP role. Conversation between Idono and Rachel has been like communication between Chelsea players this season (non-existent). Go watch EPL if you don’t understand. Apologies people, I just have a tendency to criticize everything.

The applicants have introduced themselves and briefed us on the role they are vying for. Rachel is briefing the rest of us on the results of their interviews, apparently everybody needs mentorship. I’m wondering why mojo isn’t running. Special guest appearance from Olumide Abejide (ULES PRO, VP Finance, VP Admin, and 1000 others). What a role model, Just look at him!

Simi has started reading her manifesto, It sounds good. Does she normally speak with an accent?
Are Miracle and Chidinma related? They look alike actually. Besides, he’s been smiling throughout the speech, or maybe something else is going on behind the scenes. Hamid Obileye.
