LC MEETING 1ST APRIL 2016.

So i’m back!!! People of AIESEC how have we all been?. 2 weeks since my last post and believe me it felt like forever. Shoutout to Mojo for holding it down the week I was unavailable (cant say I didn’t deserve a break) and last week there was no meeting to report due to the easter break. I hope we all had a lovely easter. So heey AIESEC!!!! HOW ARE WE FEELING??? And how did our week go? Well as usual mine was a crazy one, I mean 5 tests in one week! It doesn’t get any worse than that. The whole hustle and bustle got me thinking and led me into writing a short piece about school. Please do well to check out this link http://wp.me/p7IJ6M-i and read thank you. That’s all for that (I can hear Mojo shouting no free adverts here). So down to the meeting.

It was the 1st of April 2016, April fools day but luckily the meeting wasn’t a prank. It happened live!

them boys!!!

Meeting started at around 3:15pm with Idy as the anchor. We all took turns in saying how our week went, what and what we did and all. Then Tomi came up for our ice breaker where we all did the footwear exchange. We all were asked to remove and drop one of our footwears on the stage, then we all would come out and pick any random footwear, locate the owner of the footwear we were holding and try to get to know the person better.

(luckily for Mojo he picked a female footwear, free babe to connect)

*meanwhile, somewhere else in the room two guys are stuck with each other....well AIESEC doesn't discriminate, isn't that what they say?*

After that Ola came up and it was time for the break-out session, the main agenda for the day. It was functional area time!!!. So as usual we all divided into our different FA’s where we discussed about what our FA’s are actually all about, agendas and plans for the remainder of this term and the next and also get to familiarize with each other in the FA. This lasted for over 30 minutes. Eniola was in charge of the OGCDP team, Yomi in charge of MAC, Idy in charge of TM, Miracle in charge of OGIP, Shane in charge of FLA(I think).

While all these was going on Achibong stepped in (most of us might not know him but he’s  MCVP MAC AIESEC Kenya, he’s a Nigerian tho, atleast so I was told). Luckily for me he stopped by at MAC’s meeting where I was and we got to hear a little about his story. He told us about how he’s been able to stay so long in AIESEC, how AIESEC benefited him in other areas of his life, advantages of going for conferences (both in Nigeria and beyond). Also how he had to go outside AIESEC to learn more about and marketing and to improve his own skills and how he sees AIESEC in his future. For me it was a very inspiring session, seeing someone who has benefited a lot from this whole AIESEC experience and has been able to stay so long in the ‘game’ and still see his future in line with it.

OGCDP VP elect, Eniola...(is it just me or was she dncing shoki?)

Idy and his TM people..(sorry we cant see his face)

After that session we had another Ice Breaker, this time conducted by Achibong himself. We played the father Abraham game again! But what struck me the most was yet again I heard a different version of the song. So many remixes of the song I’m sure father Abraham is as shocked as myself.

We had a few AOB’s and that was basically all for the meeting. Just a quick reminder of an AOB, the weekly selfie competition is on. How to enter: just take a selfie of yourself during a meeting, go on twitter and tweet your picture @AIESEC_Lagos and if your picture gets the highest number of retweets, you stand a chance to win goodies for yourself. NOTE: your picture must be taken during the LC meeting for that week and you must be following the twitter handle to stand a chance of winning. Goodluck guys.

Quote of the week: In all you do, put God first and everything will fall into place. Have a great week guys.

See you next week.

Yours truly,

Dami.
