NeXLDS 2013.... Ilorin!!!
Its barely a week since we arrived from the conference, but here's the gist on what went on in case you missed.
At about 4pm on Tuesday, 3rd December, 2013 we arrived at the Royal Shekinah Suites in Ilorin, Kwara State after an eventful journey from Lagos, full of singing and gisting, and....sleeping (that's one thing AIESEC Lagos members know how to do well :) ).

NEXLDS 2013 was going to begin fully the next day and we had really underestimated the whole package awaiting us. From the time of 'landing', the fun had already begun, as we started catching up on all our old-time friends, newees were beginning to make new friends, guys were beginning to match their forms..NO TIME! ;) ..and girls were of course, making their forms available to be matched. Day 2 marked the beginning of the Conference with Abraham Iyiola a.k.a AB, popularly called Chair,
chairing the Conference. I prefer calling him 'The Short Black Boy'. His story only proved to me that you can achieve whatever you want to in life, no matter how BRIEF you look. LOL. We also had awesome FACIs like Daniel Elema, Shayo Tinuoye (MCP Ghana..very exciting girl I must say!), Andrew Sarfo, Maxmillan Effah, Yinka Fakunmoju, Ayoola Jibola (the 'SO' guy), Ayomide Salis and Michael Ohaegbu, who happened to be the Conference Manager.

The first session, BIG AIESEC, which came up after the different LCs danced roll-calls, was taken by David Akara, the MCP of AIESEC Nigeria. The session basically (..and I'm not taking my clothes off..*wink) talked about the promise AIESEC 2015 brings to the world which covers 3 major areas: AIESEC being a Global Youth Voice, making a Positive Impact and being First Choice Partners in producing responsible and entreprenurial leadership. Other FACIs also took us through very enlightening, eye-opening and educative sessions like the Limitations to BIG AIESEC, Issue Segmentation and Product Packaging, the Social Impact Model, Market Conversion, Customer Loyalty for Students and Partners. We were taken through the Inner and Outer journey of leadership, which is a 'necessary good' one must go through to gain the full AIESEC Experience.
Plenary
Roll Call
Exchange, relating majorly to GCDP, being the focus of AIESEC as an organisation, and the primary focus of NEXLDS 2013 was extensively dissected, in such a way that we all had a new perspective on what our mission and vision for AIESEC is, and of course we couldn't wait to get back to our LCs to apply these things and be the change agents AIESEC needs us to be...
I shouldn't forget to mention the exciting theme parties we had during the conference. There was the Old Skool/Afro Night, where we all were expected to look all retro. I still can't get over David Akara's acquired ass! LOL. The pool party was also so much fun, as we had the opportunity to see different shapes and sizes of pot-bellies, packs, both the fresh ones and the 'not-so-fresh' ones...and also 'UKWU' was greatly noticed. :)

Congratulations to those who had notes in their Sugar Cubes...*wink. And also big Congratulations to our very own Ugochukwu Modum, who danced all the rollcalls, acquired a very fine girl for #50,000 NEXLDS money and eventually came out as Best Delegate at the Conference. More grease to your joints!
AIESECers....Beautiful People! We had shared 5 days with different people from 14 different states, learning and having fun at the same time. We didn't want it to end, but it had to!
Many thanks to the Organising Committee, especially our very own Modupe for a wonderful Conference. Really can't wait for the next one!!!
